Rosie is drawing, twirling, carrying her baby and has the cutest curls that hang down from her pony tail. She still does not sleep well at night but is much better. Last night she slept ALL NIGHT. I woke up amazed and refreshed :-)
The other day we received these wonderful bows in the mail. Aren’t they adorable?
They are from our bloggy friends The Mayo’s. Thank you Lori and girls. You are so good to us!
School in progress :-)
This is what school looks like here at our home. Grace and Gunnar do their math (teaching textbooks) and writing (One Year Adventure Novel) on their computers. ![]()
Gavin had his National Guard drill this weekend and is staying a few extra days to visit so he crashed school today. See his dog on the couch? He is black. He is shiny. His name is Shadow.
Snack time today for Granton. See the green gum all chewed up and waiting for him to finish his snack? And the pink tu-tu that Rosie has been wearing all day….cuteness!
Sisters….sweeties…..wearing new bows from lovely bloggy friends. New hair cuts.
I remember not wanting to ever cut my girls hair. But somewhere along the line I came to the realization that it really does grow back ;-) So when I am confronted with lots of rats nests in the back of young ones hair I know I have two options….spend hours untangling it with tears or we can cut it. I let her decide.
I’m not sure what it is about this January but I’m really enjoying all the fun ideas I’m finding to use in my kitchen. I read through one of my favorite magazines the other day Real Simple and found some inspiration to go through my kitchen and re-organize. It is next on the list.
I spent the past three days soaking and cooking beans to freeze. I have lots of ready to use beans in my freezer now. I like that!
Plus Rosie has some yummy Gluten Free Banana Bread being stored away in the freezer. I love having food on hand that I can just pull out for her.
How is everyone doing? Are you crossing off ‘ things to get done’ from your New Years list? I am and enjoying it!

Love looking at your day, and hearing a bit about life at the Kerschner home.
Slow day here, but I did find time to write half a letter to, you know who;) Hope your new week goes super duper as Barney would say...OK, now you see I'm talking old school, I need rest!
Have a great evening~
Laura
haha! you always make me smile :-)
DeleteCinnamon,
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of life! Your girls look so lovely, and the bread looks delicious. I, too, am purging and organizing...I just wish the desire would last longer than the end of this month. It's a must for families our size, isn't it? I love your header photo, so beautiful!!
Hello Trisha! Yes organizing needs to last longer than January. I'm so excited about it that I keep planning and organizing, little bits at a time.
DeleteIt sounds strange to even say this, but it is actually very encouraging to hear that your little Rosie is not sleeping well. I guess it is just nice to know I'm not alone in the middle of the night. :) My little one is 11 months, and has yet to sleep through the night. Although, just recently (as in, the last 3 nights!) he has only been waking once! Those longer stretches of sleep have been a real treat...and a definite help to my attitude as well! :)

Welcome Veronica,
Deletehaha! Yes I know what you mean about feeling normal, like your not the "only" one. You are most certainly not alone. Rosie and I join you most every night :-)
So glad you stopped by!
I love all your sweet cozy photos of your everyday doings. The hair bows are very cute. I miss those school days (very happy memories to me... the very best). I enjoyed your crockpot meals post. It is a great idea. Its great to have a meal frozen ahead for those busy and exhausting days. Cooking and freezing the beans sounds like a great idea too. I love to have something to put in the crockpot. I will have to checkout the give away.
ReplyDeleteHow are you liking your Francis Frangipane bible study. It looks like a good one.
Many Blessings,
Pam
I am really liking my bible study. It's not overwhelming as I just read a tidbit each night so it's on my heart/mind as I drift off to sleep. Then I re-read it :-) I have a couple books by her and I'm glad as it will keep me from wondering what to study.
DeleteThanks for stopping by~
