Cuddling with Rosie~

For the past few days sweetie pie has been running a fever. Lots of drinking, cuddles and sleeping with Mama has been going on. Just when I thought she was getting better she turns around and seems worse. P2093559

Don’t you just hate it when they are this little and cannot say “it hurts here mama” ???  I do.

So tonight when I saw she was in need of Mama I settled down to cuddle her on the couch. We turned on one of the “Love Comes Softly” movies ( I love those ). We ended up being on that couch for quite some time till Rosie was drifting off to sleep in my arms (love that).

Just after Rosie dozed off, Granton came over and landed on us, wondering a little too loudly “is Rosie asleep?” Amazingly *that* did not wake her up but if I moved my arm (which she was laying on) the tiniest bit she awoke immediately and cried.

Her two comforts were her blankie…..

….and her bottle.

She feels around till her little fingers find the edges of her blankie….

and she can drift off to sleep.

It’s going to be a long night. I’m so thankful for children who will be up before me, making breakfast, caring for little ones and keeping everything quiet so Rosie and I will be able to catch up on all the sleep we will be missing out on tonight :-)

Remember the homemade Shampoo I made? Well today I tried it out. I really like it! Really really like it. It lathers right up. It did smell a bit herby and pepperminty as I used peppermint oil in it. I also used Rosemary and Nettle to improve hair growth which is why it smells herby.

Then I used an Apple Cider vinegar rinse. When I was all done my hair felt soooo soft. I didn’t even use leave in conditioner today and I was amazed at how wonderful my hair felt. Of course this is only the first use. I will be testing this shampoo out for the next few weeks. Gracie is using it too. I love when she joins in with my crazy experiments :-)

Now I am waiting for my homemade yogurt to cool so I can add my starter and go to sleep. Hopefully Rosie is out for a good couple hours before I need to rock her to sleep again :-)

Night all.

  1. Are you still liking your shampoo?
Did you get some of the stuff online?
I haven't heard of MSM before.

  2. Hello Tania, I was in Mt. Ayr yesterday for the storm. Wasn't the smart of me? Thankfully I got home before it got bad :-)

YES, I LOVE my shampoo. Gracie does too :-)

I didn't use the MSM and had everything here at home or it was easily purchased at Walmart.

It is easy to make a lathers up so well.

  3. I read in an article a couple years back that a lady made a rosemary tea to spritz on her scalp to help with hair growth. I have not tried it as I had forgot until I read your post.
I need to try this recipe along with this shampoo.

    Blessings,
    Melanie
