Today (Feb 10th) our sweet Rose turned two. As it is with new ones it seems that she has always been here. Of course her birth is one that I will never forgot. How could i?
.
John was gone. I was in the hospital. Labor was long!
Remember Rosie’s birth story?
I can still feel the relief of having her. That’s was one doozie of a labor!
Rosie’s birthday came and went without much celebrating. Rosie was up all last night, off and on, which left me pretty tired all day. Thankfully Rosie was content to snuggle with me on the couch for a good part of the day.
Her first gift to open was this beautiful hat from a sweet pen pal, Lewanne. We met through letters when Rosie was born.
Some of you who have been with me a while might remember the cute little ladybug hat Lewanne made Rosie.
For those of you that haven’t been with me long you might be wondering why Rosie doesn’t start with a “G” like the rest of our children? Well she does really. Her name is Geneva Rose. Her nickname is “Rosie” ♥
Rosie – officially a two year old :-)
Happy Birthday Rosie!
~Mama
update on Rosie: She was diagnosed with RSV and a very red ear infection. We’ve got her on antibiotics and have prescribed lots of sleep and snuggles :-)
Happy birthday Rosie!!! Two is such a fun age. I am sure you all enjoy her as much as we enjoy our 2 year old over here.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that she has RSV. Praying for healing and rest for her and you.

ReplyDeleteI am sorry that she is not feeling well. I hope she recovers soon! Two is really a fun age. Their personalities really come out as they begin to talk more and more.
Happy Day!
Poor little sweetheart! Hope she's feeling better really soon! Give a holler if you need something!
ReplyDeleteCinnamon,
ReplyDeleteI went back and read her birth story. I had not "met" you yet.
I don't think it was long after though.
But, we do share a bit in common with this...in a round about way.
While you labored and labored, my sister did too. We were driving as fast as we could to get to L.A. Before she had her baby. It took us almost 4 days to get there.
She had her baby on the 12th.
The outcome for her was a wee bit different, but a blessing none the less.
Rosie is beautiful.
Happy Birthday to her.
XO
