A shopping trip. Shopping for fun things at Hobby Lobby. Browsing through all their holiday sales and array of fall colors. Smelling their candles and looking over each and every isle. Fun!
Do you like all their matching sweatshirts? They are from John’s unit when he was in Afghanistan. They say “we do bad things to bad people” and John wears it proudly. We all do. I decided to be the odd one out that day.
John took all his girls and Granton out for the day. He drove. He held Granton’s hand all through Hobby Lobby and all the other stores we went into. He said “no” to Granton when Granton asked 15 zillion times for a snow globe. Then, when John found out the snow globe was 1/2 off, he bought Granton the snow globe.
Right outside of Hobby Lobby the crew waited while Gracie and I made our purchases. I kept thinking a checker was going to tell us “you finally got your boy” which they always do. But no one did.
Our happy gang of giggling girls and the boy ;-)
John treated us all to a yummy lunch at Red Robin.
See my yellow bracelet. It’s the one Gracie made me. I love it!
While we were waiting Gracie was jotting down notes. She has taken to writing down notes wherever she goes, for future use in a story.
Red Robin has always been one of our favorite places to take children because it’s so loud in there ;-)
This time we sat us outside. It was a perfect day for it.
Our Gracie girl ♥
She blessed me with most of these pictures :-) Thank you Gracie!
My Caramel candle is burning almost daily now. Fall feels like it has arrived. Leaves are falling and colors are changing. It’s cool enough today to finally season our Cast Iron Dutch Oven. Mmmmm~ I picture some yummy soups being made in there :-)
Happy Fall everyone!
